Roswitha Rodrigues is co-founder and creative director of Magical Monkey, a Design & Visual Branding company based in New York with a refreshingly diverse national and international client base.

Roswitha has been responsible for the concepting, unique branding and developing a visual language for many successful companies, including Rheingold Brewing Company, MovieFone, The Hebrew Home, Kingsborough Community College, Harper Collins and Gym Source. Under her creative direction Magical Monkey's clients have ranged from exclusive jet-charter companies to non-for profit social service organizations and the company's philosophy thrives on the fact that every client is unique.

With a business degree in advertising and management and more than 20 years creative experience in the graphic design industry, Roswitha is accomplished in business branding, consumer advertising, interactive (web and new media), corporate identity, business to business, retail, trade and sales promotions.

For her work she has received numerous recognitions and awards, both, in her native Austria as well as in the US. Among them are the National NCMPR Paragon Gold Medal and Regional NCMPR / Medallion Silver Award, ProMax, multiple American Corporate Identity and American Graphic Design Awards, as well as awards by Print, Advertising Women of New York, Graphic Design USA, Advertising Age and Graphis.

Before co-starting her own company in 2000, Roswitha had been Design Director in a national advertising agency, traveled whenever she could and toured Europe twice with an Austrian Musical Production.

Besides working with Magical Monkey, Roswitha has been teaching Graphic Design at the School of Visual Arts since 1997. Working with students has been an endless source of inspiration and learning for her.

Within the SVA Continuing Education program she currently teaches two courses, Portfolio and Visual Branding.
